Have you ever read an email and thought, "I don't need to deal with this right now, but I don't want to forget about it"? That's exactly what Gmail's Snooze feature is made for.
When you snooze an email, it vanishes from your inbox temporarily and then pops back up — at the top of your inbox — at a specific date and time you choose. It's like setting a reminder tied directly to the email itself.
This is especially helpful for things like: - A reminder about a doctor's appointment that arrives a week before the visit — snooze it until the day before - A receipt you need to review when your credit card statement arrives — snooze it until the end of the month - A message you need to reply to, but not until after the weekend — snooze it until Monday morning
Snoozed emails are stored in a special "Snoozed" folder in Gmail's left sidebar. So you can always go find them early if your plans change. When the snooze time arrives, the email moves back to the top of your regular inbox with a small "Snoozed" tag. So you know it's a returning reminder.
Snooze works on the Gmail website and on the Gmail app for iPhone and Android. You can snooze as many emails as you want, and each one can have its own custom date and time.
