Confirm the red shield icon appears

After installing, a small red shield with a number will appear in the top-right area of your browser's toolbar. This number shows how many items have been blocked on the current page. If you do not see the icon, click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and click the pin icon next to uBlock Origin to keep it visible.

Pages will generally load faster and look cleaner. If a page looks broken or missing content, you can temporarily disable uBlock Origin for that site by clicking the shield icon and then clicking the large blue power button.

Explore the dashboard for additional filter lists (optional)
