VA.gov is the official website for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. If you are a veteran, service member, or dependent, you can manage healthcare, file disability claims, check education benefits, and access a wide range of services online.

The VA uses Login.gov or ID.me for secure sign-in. If you already have either account, you can sign in to VA.gov right away. Go to va.gov and click "Sign In" in the top-right corner. Choose your sign-in method and follow the prompts.

Once signed in, your dashboard gives you access to healthcare (send messages to VA doctors, refill prescriptions, view records, schedule appointments), disability claims (file new claims, check status, upload documents), education benefits (check GI Bill balance, verify enrollment), and records (download your DD-214, request service records, access benefit letters).

The VA also offers "My HealtheVet," a health portal accessible through VA.gov, which provides full medical records, lab results, and prescription history. You can share this information with non-VA doctors.

For help navigating the website, call the VA's helpline at 1-800-827-1000 or use the online chat feature on VA.gov.
