Amazon Prime Video is one of the most feature-rich streaming services available, and it comes free with an Amazon Prime membership. But many people use it like a simple video player and miss out on some genuinely useful features.
X-Ray is one of Prime Video's standout features — tap the screen while watching anything and you see real-time information about the actors in that scene, the music playing in the background, and trivia about the show or movie. It pulls from IMDb (which Amazon owns) and is often more detailed than anything you'd find from a quick Google search.
Prime Video also has a Watchlist — your personal queue of movies and shows you want to watch later. Any time you see something interesting while browsing, add it to your Watchlist so you can find it again easily.
Prime Video includes more than just the core Prime library. Many premium channels (like Paramount+, AMC+, or Starz) are available as add-ons right inside the app — some can be tried free for a week and then cancelled if you do not like them.
Multiple profiles let each family member have their own watchlist and viewing history. This prevents one person's binge-watching from messing up another person's recommendations.
