    How to Connect to Wi-Fi on Windows

    Get your Windows PC online by connecting to a wireless network in just a few clicks.

    Open network settings

    Click the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar (system tray).

    Turn on Wi-Fi

    If Wi-Fi is off, click the Wi-Fi button to enable it. Available networks will appear.

    Select your network

    Find your network name (SSID) in the list and click on it. It's usually your router's name or your internet provider's name.

    Look for your network name on a sticker on the bottom or back of your router.

    Enter the password

    Type your Wi-Fi password and click Connect. Check "Connect automatically" to rejoin next time. Passwords are case-sensitive — it's often on a sticker on your router.

    Verify connection

    The Wi-Fi icon should show connected. Open a browser to confirm internet access.
