Share an image for Gemini to analyze

Tap the image upload icon (a photo or paperclip symbol) in the chat input area to attach a photo. You can photograph a document, a food label, a chart, a plant, or anything else and ask Gemini about it. For example, photograph a confusing prescription label and ask "What does this medication do and what are the side effects?" or photograph a plant in your yard and ask "What plant is this and how do I care for it?"

Use Gemini in Gmail and Google Docs

In Gmail (on the web at gmail.com), look for the Gemini or sparkle icon in the compose window when writing an email. Click it and choose options like "Help me write" — describe the email you need and Gemini drafts it. You can then edit the draft before sending. In Google Docs, click "Help me write" in a new blank document, describe what you need, and Gemini generates a starting draft. These features are available with a free Google account.
