How to Use Google's Results About You Tool

Use a free Google tool to find web pages that show your phone number, address, or email and ask Google to hide them.

    1

Sign in to your Google account

    ~15s
Go to google.com and click Sign In at the top right. Use the Gmail account you normally use.
    2

Open the Results About You tool

    ~15s
Go to myactivity.google.com/results-about-you in your browser. You can also search for "Google Results About You" to find the page.
    3

Enter the info you want Google to watch for

    ~15s
Type the names you go by, your home address, phone number, and email. Google uses this list to scan search results and tell you what shows up.
    4

    Review the pages Google finds

    ~15s
Google will show a list of web pages that mention your info. Scroll through and see which ones you want hidden.
    5

Click Request Removal on each page

    ~15s
Next to each unwanted page, click "Request Removal". Google reviews the request within a few days and usually hides the page from search if it shows personal contact details.

Google offers a free tool called "Results About You" that scans the web for pages showing your personal contact information. When it finds something, you can ask Google to hide that page from search results in one click.

This does not delete the page from the internet, but it stops people from finding it on Google. That alone makes a big difference, since most people only find your info by searching your name.
