How to Remove Your Info from Google Search

Ask Google to stop showing web pages that contain your phone number, address, or other personal information.

    1

Find the page you want removed

    ~15s
First, search your name on Google and click the result you want gone. Copy the full web address from the top of your browser.
    2

Go to the Google removal form

    ~15s
In a new tab, go to support.google.com/websearch/answer/9673730. Scroll down and click the button that says "Start removal request".
    3

    Pick the reason for removal

    ~15s
Choose the option that fits — usually "Personal info, like your address or phone number" or "Contact info shown with threats". Answer the questions that follow.
    4

Paste the link and upload a screenshot

    ~15s
Paste the web address of the page you want removed. Take a screenshot showing the page contains your personal info, and upload it when asked.
    5

Submit and wait for a decision

    ~15s
Click Submit. Google sends you a confirmation email and usually responds within a few days to tell you if the page has been removed from search.

Google has a form you can use to ask them to hide specific web pages from search results. This works best for pages that show personal information like your home address, phone number, ID numbers, or private images.

Google will not remove news articles or pages that are in the public interest. But for data-broker sites and pages with your contact info, this process works well and is free.
