How to Use MyChart to Manage Your Health Online

MyChart lets you message your doctor, view test results, and schedule appointments — all from your phone or computer.

    1

    Download the MyChart app

    ~15s
Search "MyChart" in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Download the free app made by Epic. You can also use mychart.com in any web browser on a computer.
    2

    Create your account

    ~21s
Open MyChart and tap "Sign Up Now." You will need your activation code from your doctor office. If you do not have one, tap "Sign Up Online" and enter your name, date of birth, and zip code to find your provider.

    Quick Tip

If you cannot find your activation code, call your doctor office and ask them to send you a MyChart invitation by email.

    3

    View test results

    ~15s
Tap "Test Results" on the home screen. You will see a list of recent lab work and imaging results. Tap any result to see the details. Results usually appear within 1-3 days of your test.
    4

    Message your doctor

    ~17s
Tap "Messages" then "New Message." Choose your doctor from the list, type your question, and tap Send. Most doctors respond within 1-2 business days. This is great for non-urgent questions like medication refills or appointment follow-ups.

    Warning

MyChart messaging is not for emergencies. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

    5

    Schedule an appointment

    ~15s
Tap "Appointments" then "Schedule an Appointment." Choose the type of visit (in-person or video), pick your doctor, and select a date and time. You will get a confirmation email after booking.
