How to View and Cancel Amazon Subscriptions

Amazon makes it very convenient to subscribe to products — household supplies, vitamins, pet food, coffee, and hundreds of other items available on an automatic recurring schedule at a discount. This feature is called Subscribe and Save. But over time, subscriptions can add up. And you may not even remember what you have signed up for. Reviewing and managing these subscriptions is straightforward once you know where to look.

Subscribe and Save is not the only kind of recurring charge that can appear through Amazon. You might also have subscriptions to Prime, Prime Video add-on channels (like Starz, Showtime, or Discovery+), Audible (audiobooks), Kindle Unlimited (unlimited ebook access), Amazon Music, or third-party services that bill through Amazon. All of these can be found and managed from your Amazon account.

The key location for managing everything is the "Memberships and Subscriptions" section of your Amazon account. From there you can see all active subscriptions, their next billing dates, and the amounts you are being charged.

For Subscribe and Save product deliveries specifically, you have additional flexibility. You can pause individual items for one or more months, change the delivery frequency (for example, from monthly to every three months), change the quantity, or cancel the subscription entirely. Pausing is useful if you still want the item eventually but already have plenty in stock.

One thing to be aware of: canceling a Subscribe and Save item is permanent. You would need to sign up again if you change your mind. Pausing is a better option if you are uncertain. You can pause for up to six months.

Reviewing your subscriptions every few months is good practice. You may find items you are still receiving but no longer need, add-on channels you forgot about, or trial memberships that converted to paid subscriptions.
