How to Use Paramount+ for Movies and TV Streaming

Paramount+ streams CBS shows, movies from Paramount Pictures, live sports, and news. Here is how to sign up, navigate, and find the best content.

Go to paramountplus.com or download the Paramount+ app from the App Store or Google Play. Click "Try It Free" to start a trial (usually 7 days). Choose a plan: Essential ($5.99/month, includes ads and live CBS), Premium ($11.99/month, no ads, plus Showtime), or Paramount+ with Showtime ($11.99/month). Enter your email and create a password. Add a payment method. You can cancel before the trial ends and pay nothing.

Navigate the Paramount+ app

The app home screen shows personalized recommendations. Use the top navigation: "Home," "Shows," "Movies," "Live" (for live CBS channels and sports), and your profile icon. The "Live" tab is where you access live CBS broadcasts — local news, sports, and prime-time CBS shows as they air. For on-demand CBS shows, go to "Shows" → "CBS" and browse current seasons.

Find sports and live TV

Tap "Live" at the top of the app. You see your local CBS affiliate and any currently live sporting events. During NFL season, some games broadcast on CBS appear here. Major events like Super Bowl on CBS and March Madness games are available live. Regional availability varies — some local affiliates are available everywhere, while some sports may have blackout restrictions in certain areas.
