The Amazon Fire TV Stick turns any TV into a smart TV with access to Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube, and thousands of apps. It also has Alexa built into the remote for voice search.
Plug the Fire Stick into an HDMI port. Connect the USB power cable to the included power adapter (use the wall outlet, not the TV's USB port — the Fire Stick needs more power). Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input.
The remote pairs automatically. If it does not, hold the Home button for 10 seconds. Follow the on-screen steps: choose language, connect to WiFi, and sign in with your Amazon account.
The Fire Stick downloads updates and may restart. Browse and install apps from the home screen. The Alexa button on the remote (microphone icon) lets you search by voice — hold it and say "Find comedies on Netflix" or "Open YouTube."
If you have Amazon Prime, you get free access to thousands of titles through Prime Video — look for titles marked "Prime."
