State Farm is the largest property and casualty insurance company in the US. Their mobile app — called State Farm — gives customers a direct line to their policies, billing, and claims without ever picking up the phone.
The app is free and available for both iPhone and Android. You log in with your State Farm account email and password. If you do not have an account yet, you can register inside the app by providing your policy number and personal details.
Once you are logged in, the home screen shows all the policies you hold with State Farm — auto, home, renters, life, or a combination. Each policy can be tapped to view details, see upcoming payments, and access your insurance ID cards.
The State Farm app includes a virtual assistant called Jake — named after the popular advertising character. Jake can answer questions about your policy, help you find information, and guide you through tasks like changing your address or adding a vehicle. He is available around the clock and handles many routine requests without you needing to speak to a person.
For billing, the app lets you view your payment history, make a payment, and set up automatic withdrawals. You can also choose paperless billing to receive documents by email instead of mail.
If you need to report a claim, the app walks you through each step, including uploading photos and getting connected with your local State Farm agent or a claims representative.
Many State Farm customers also use the app to connect with their personal agent. You can message them directly or schedule a call without going through a main phone line.
