WEBTOON is a free app that hosts thousands of comic series and manga from creators all over the world. Unlike traditional comic books, WEBTOON comics are designed to be read on a phone screen — you scroll down through vertical panels instead of flipping through pages. This format makes them very comfortable to read on a phone without zooming in and out.
Most comics on WEBTOON are completely free to read. Some popular series offer early access to new episodes for a small fee through a feature called Fast Pass, but you can always read the same episodes for free a few weeks later. There is no subscription required and no credit card needed to browse and read the vast majority of content.
WEBTOON was originally created by the South Korean company Naver and became popular worldwide. Today it hosts creators from dozens of countries, and the content spans every genre imaginable — romance, fantasy, horror, thriller, science fiction, slice of life, action, and more.
Many WEBTOON series have developed enormous followings and some have even been adapted into TV shows and movies. The platform has a strong community of readers who comment on episodes and interact with creators directly.
Creating a free account lets you subscribe to series and get notified when new episodes drop, save your reading history, and leave comments. You can also read as a guest without an account if you prefer, though you will not be able to subscribe or save your place.
