    What is an app

    An app (application) is a program on your phone or tablet. Apps let you do specific things: check email (Gmail), get directions (Google Maps), or video call (FaceTime). Your phone comes with many apps pre-installed.

    Where to get apps

    iPhone: App Store (blue A icon). Android: Google Play Store (colorful triangle). Search by name, tap Get/Install. Most are free. Only download from official stores to stay safe.

    Organize your apps

    Press and hold an app icon to move it. Drag one icon onto another to create a folder. Delete apps by pressing and holding, then selecting Remove/Uninstall.

    Keep apps updated

    Updates fix bugs and security issues. Turn on automatic updates: iPhone — App Store > Profile > turn on automatic updates. Android — Play Store > Profile > Settings > Auto-update apps.
