    How to Take a Scrolling Screenshot on Android

    Take a regular screenshot first

    On any Android phone, take a standard screenshot by pressing and holding the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time. Hold them for about one second, then release. You'll hear a click sound (or see a flash) and a small preview of the screenshot will appear at the bottom of your screen.

    Quick Tip

    Act quickly — the toolbar at the bottom of the screen with the scroll capture option will only be visible for a few seconds before it disappears.

    Tap "Scroll" or "Scroll capture" on Samsung Galaxy

    On a Samsung Galaxy phone, after taking the screenshot, a toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen. Look for a downward-pointing double-arrow icon or the word "Scroll." Tap it. The phone will automatically scroll down and capture the next section, extending the screenshot. Keep tapping it to capture more content, then stop when you've captured everything you need.

    Quick Tip

    The scroll capture option on Samsung may be labeled "Scrollshot" on older models or "Scroll capture" on newer ones. It looks like a rectangle with a downward arrow.

    Use "Capture more" on Google Pixel

    On a Google Pixel phone running Android 14 or later, after taking the screenshot, tap "Capture more" in the toolbar that appears at the bottom. A selection tool appears that lets you expand the bottom edge of the screenshot downward — drag it down to include more of the page. You can also tap an auto-scroll button on some versions to capture the full page automatically.

    Quick Tip

    Google Pixel's scrolling screenshot approach gives you more control over how far down the page to capture — drag the handle carefully to get exactly what you need.

    Find and share your scrolling screenshot

    The finished screenshot is saved automatically to your phone's Photos app, in the Screenshots album. Open Photos, tap Albums, and look for "Screenshots" to find it. You can share it the same way as any photo — tap the Share button and choose to send it via text, email, WhatsApp, or any other app.
