Visit BlueApron.com and choose a plan

    ~30s
Open your browser and go to blueapron.com. Click "Get Started" or "See Our Plans." You will be asked how many people you are cooking for and how many meals per week you want. The most common choice is two to four servings, two to four meals per week. The page shows you the cost per serving so you can compare options easily.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: Blue Apron frequently offers first-box discounts — sometimes 50 percent off your first order. These promotions often appear on the homepage or via an email after you sign up.

    2

    Create your account

    ~16s
Enter your email address and create a password, or sign in with Google. You will also be asked for your delivery address and zip code so Blue Apron can confirm delivery is available in your area. Enter this before setting up payment, since not all zip codes are served.
    3

Select your meals for the first week

    ~31s
After entering your address, you will see that week's menu. Each meal has a photo, a short description, the total cook time, and a difficulty level. Click any meal to read more details, including the full ingredient list and any common allergens. Select the number of meals your plan includes, then proceed to checkout.

    Warning

Blue Apron menus rotate weekly. If you do not choose meals before the weekly cutoff, Blue Apron will automatically select meals for you based on your plan. Log in to your account each week to choose the meals you actually want.

    4

Enter payment and place your first order

    ~19s
Enter your credit or debit card information and confirm your delivery address. Blue Apron will charge you when each box ships, not when you sign up. Review the order summary, then click "Place Order." You will receive a confirmation email, and a shipping notification with tracking information when your box leaves the warehouse.
    5

    Receive and store your box

    ~20s
Blue Apron boxes are packed with insulated liners and ice packs to keep ingredients fresh during shipping. When your box arrives, unpack it and put proteins (meat, fish) into the refrigerator right away. Most ingredients stay fresh for up to five days. The recipe cards are printed cards inside the box — keep them on the counter while you cook.
    6

    Pause or cancel your subscription

    ~33s
To skip a week, log in to your Blue Apron account, go to "Account Settings" and click "Upcoming Deliveries." Find the week you want to skip and click "Skip Week." To pause for longer, go to "Account Settings" and choose "Pause Subscription." To cancel entirely, go to "Account Settings," click "Cancel Subscription," and follow the steps. Changes must be made before the weekly cutoff, which is shown in your account.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: Before canceling, check if pausing is an option that works for you. Pausing lets you keep your account and preferences without receiving or paying for boxes during the weeks you pause.

Blue Apron is a meal kit delivery service. Each week, the company ships a box of fresh, pre-measured ingredients directly to your home, along with recipe cards that walk you through cooking each dish step by step. The idea is to take the guesswork out of weeknight cooking — you do not need to plan a menu, make a grocery list, or measure anything out. Everything you need arrives ready to use.

Blue Apron meals are designed for home cooks of all experience levels. Most recipes take between 30 and 50 minutes to prepare and are labeled with a difficulty level. Meals range from classic American dishes like burgers and pasta to globally inspired recipes like tacos, stir-fries, and curries.

Plans start at around $10 to $13 per serving depending on the number of meals you choose each week. A typical plan for two people with three meals per week costs roughly $60 to $80 per week including shipping. While this is more expensive per meal than cooking entirely from scratch, many people find it saves money compared to ordering takeout or eating at restaurants, and it eliminates food waste because every ingredient is measured for the recipe.

You sign up for a weekly subscription but you are not locked in. You can skip any week you do not want a delivery — for example, if you are traveling or have a busy schedule — or pause your subscription entirely. Changes need to be made by a certain cutoff time each week, usually five to six days before the delivery date, so plan ahead.

Blue Apron ships to most areas in the continental United States. Delivery days vary by zip code.
