    How to Cancel a Streaming Subscription

    Learn how to cancel Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, or any other streaming service you no longer want.

    Figure out where you signed up

    You need to cancel where you originally signed up. If you signed up on the website, cancel there. If you signed up through your phone (App Store or Google Play), you need to cancel through your phone settings.

    Check your email for the original sign-up confirmation to remind yourself where you subscribed.

    Cancel on the website

    Go to the streaming service website (like netflix.com) and sign in. Go to your Account settings. Look for a "Cancel Membership" or "Cancel Subscription" link and follow the steps.

    Cancel through iPhone (App Store)

    On your iPhone, go to Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Find the streaming service and tap "Cancel Subscription."

    Cancel through Android (Google Play)

    On your Android phone, open the Google Play Store. Tap your profile picture, then Payments & Subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Find the service and tap "Cancel."

    What happens after you cancel

    You can usually keep watching until the end of your current billing period. After that, you will lose access. You will not be charged again unless you re-subscribe.

    Warning

    Make sure you see a confirmation message or email after canceling. If you do not, the cancellation may not have gone through.
