If your TV speakers sound thin, connect Bluetooth speakers for better audio. Bluetooth headphones are great for private listening at night. Most smart TVs made after 2018 have built-in Bluetooth — check in Settings → Sound for "Bluetooth" options. If your TV lacks Bluetooth, buy a Bluetooth transmitter ($15-40) that plugs into the headphone jack or optical port.

Put your speaker/headphones into pairing mode — usually hold the power or Bluetooth button until a light flashes blue. On your TV, go to Settings → Sound → Bluetooth → "Add Device" or "Pair New Device." Select your device from the list and wait for "Connected."

Audio now plays through the Bluetooth device. To switch back, change the output to "TV Speaker" in Sound settings.

If there is a delay between video and audio (lip sync issue), look for "Audio Delay" or "Lip Sync" in your TV's Sound settings. For the best experience with soundbars, use HDMI ARC instead of Bluetooth — it provides better quality with no delay. Look for an HDMI port labeled "ARC" or "eARC."
