Create on the desktop
~15sRight-click (two-finger click) on an empty desktop area → New Folder. Type a name and press Return.

Create in Finder
~15sOpen Finder, navigate to your location, then press ⌘+Shift+N to create a new folder.

Rename a folder
~15sClick the folder name once to select it, click again to make it editable. Type the new name.

Use Smart Folders
~15sIn Finder, go to FileNew Smart Folder to create folders that automatically collect files matching your criteria.
