Disney+ Kids Mode is a special profile setting that turns the streaming app into a safe space for young viewers. When Kids Mode is turned on, the profile shows only content rated for children — think animated movies, educational shows, and age-appropriate Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and National Geographic content. The full Disney+ library, including PG-13 and TV-14 titles, is hidden from view.
The most important feature of Kids Mode is that it is locked with a PIN. Your child cannot turn off Kids Mode or switch to a different profile without entering the four-digit code you set. This means even if your child knows how to navigate streaming apps, they cannot accidentally stumble onto content that is not appropriate for their age.
Kids Mode also disables autoplay previews, which means graphic or loud content will not start playing automatically while your child is browsing. The interface in Kids Mode is simplified and more visual, making it easier for younger children to find shows they enjoy without needing to read a lot of text.
You can create a Kids Mode profile for each child in your household with a Disney+ subscription. The service supports up to seven profiles per account, so there is room for the whole family. Kids Mode is available on smart TVs, Fire sticks, Roku, phones, tablets, and the Disney+ website. Setting it up takes less than five minutes.
