    How to Print a Document from Your Computer

    Whether you're printing a letter, form, or recipe, here's how to print any document from Windows or Mac.

    Open the document you want to print

    Open the file in any application. This could be a Word document, PDF, web page, email, or photo.

    Open the print dialog

    Press Ctrl+P (Windows) or ⌘+P (Mac). This works in almost every application. A print window will appear.

    Choose your printer

    Select your printer from the dropdown menu. If you only have one printer, it will already be selected.

    Adjust settings and print

    Set the number of copies and choose which pages to print (all pages or a range). Check the preview to make sure it looks right, then click Print.

    Quick Tip

    Use "Print Preview" before printing to avoid wasting paper on something that does not look right.
