Create a kp.org account or log in

    ~31s
Go to kp.org in a web browser or download the Kaiser Permanente app from the App Store or Google Play. Tap "Register" or "Create Account." You will need your Kaiser member ID number, which is on your insurance card. Enter your date of birth and other identifying information to verify your identity, then create a username and password. If you already have an account, enter your credentials to log in.

    Quick Tip

If you have trouble registering, call Kaiser's member services line at 1-800-290-4400. Their representatives can help you set up your account over the phone.

    2

    Schedule an appointment

    ~30s
Inside the app or website, tap "Schedule a Visit" or look for the "Appointments" section. You can schedule in-person visits, telephone appointments, or video visits depending on your care needs. Choose your preferred doctor if you have one, select a reason for the visit from the list provided, and pick a date and time that works for you. You will receive an email confirmation with the appointment details.

    Quick Tip

Video visits are available for many common conditions including cold and flu, rashes, and follow-up consultations. They are often available with shorter wait times than in-person appointments.

    3

    Refill a prescription

    ~33s
Tap "Pharmacy" or "Prescriptions" in the app menu. You will see a list of your current prescriptions on file at Kaiser. Tap the medication you need refilled and select "Request Refill." Choose whether you want to pick it up at your local Kaiser pharmacy or have it mailed to your home — Kaiser's mail-order pharmacy usually delivers a 90-day supply for chronic medications and is often less expensive than monthly pickup.

    Warning

Refill requests usually take two to three business days to process, and mail delivery adds additional time. Request refills at least one week before you run out to avoid gaps in your medication.

    4

View test results and health records

    ~22s
Tap "Test Results" or "My Health" to see lab results, imaging summaries, and other health information. Results from recent tests appear here usually within a few days. You can also view your complete medication list, vaccination history, diagnoses, and visit summaries. If you see a result you do not understand, use the "Message My Doctor" feature to ask your care team for an explanation.

Kaiser Permanente is one of the largest managed care organizations in the United States, serving members in California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, D.C. If you are a Kaiser member, the Kaiser Permanente app and website give you access to nearly every aspect of your care — from scheduling appointments and refilling prescriptions to reviewing lab results and speaking with a doctor by video.

The app is designed to be a one-stop place for managing your health. Kaiser members can avoid many phone calls by handling routine tasks directly in the app. You can request a prescription refill and choose to have it mailed to your home or ready for pickup at your nearest Kaiser pharmacy. You can schedule a routine appointment, see available times, and confirm it without speaking to anyone.

Kaiser's "My Doctor Online" feature allows you to message your care team directly. For non-urgent medical questions, you can usually expect a response within one to three business days. Kaiser also offers telephone appointments and video visits for many types of care — especially useful if you have limited transportation or mobility.

Test results from lab work or imaging studies appear in the app, usually within days of the test. Kaiser encourages members to review their results in the app, and your care team will follow up with you if anything requires attention.

Setting up the app requires your Kaiser member ID number, which is printed on your insurance card. You will also need to create an account at kp.org if you do not already have one. The app is free on iPhone and Android, and the full website version is available at kp.org.
