Opening System Settings
~15sClick the Apple menu (top-left) > System Settings. Or click the System Settings icon in your Dock. Use the search bar at the top to find any setting quickly.

Wi-Fi and Network
~15sClick Wi-Fi in the sidebar. Connect to networks, forget old networks, and check your connection status. Network section shows all connections and allows advanced configuration.

Display settings
~15sClick Displays. Adjust resolution (choose "More Space" for more screen real estate or "Larger Text" for readability). Adjust brightness. Night Shift reduces blue light in the evening.

Sound settings
~15sClick Sound. Adjust output volume, choose input/output devices (speakers, headphones). Enable "Play sound on startup" if you want. Set alert sounds and volume separately.

Notifications
~15sClick Notifications. Control which apps can send notifications and how (banners, alerts, badges). Disable notifications for apps that bother you. Enable Focus modes for quiet times.

Users & Groups
~15sManage user accounts. Set up separate accounts for family members so everyone has their own files and settings. Set login options and automatic login preferences.

Software Update
~15sClick General > Software Update. Check for macOS updates. Enable "Automatic updates" to stay current. Updates include security patches, bug fixes, and new features.

Time Machine
~15sClick General > Time Machine. Set up automatic backups to an external drive. Time Machine saves hourly snapshots of your entire Mac so you can restore any file from any point in time.
