    How to Take a Screenshot on Any Device

    Windows screenshot

    Press PrtScn (Print Screen) to capture the entire screen to clipboard. Press ⊞ Win+Shift+S to select a specific area (Snipping Tool). Press ⊞ Win+PrtSc to save a screenshot directly to your Pictures > Screenshots folder.

    Mac screenshot

    +Shift+3: capture entire screen. +Shift+4: select an area to capture. +Shift+5: opens screenshot toolbar with more options including screen recording. Screenshots save to your desktop.

    iPhone screenshot

    Press Side Button + Volume Up simultaneously. A thumbnail appears in the bottom-left — tap it to edit (crop, annotate). Screenshots go to Photos > Albums > Screenshots.

    Android screenshot

    Press Power + Volume Down simultaneously. On some phones, swipe down with three fingers. The screenshot appears in your notification shade and saves to Photos > Screenshots.

    Share your screenshot

    After taking a screenshot, open it in your photos or files app. Tap Share to send via text, email, or any messaging app. Screenshots are great for showing someone what you see on your screen.
