Open Facebook Marketplace

Open the Facebook app on your phone. Look for the Marketplace icon at the bottom — it looks like a small storefront or house. Tap it. You'll see listings from people near you. To sell something, tap "Create new listing" or the "+" button.

Take clear photos and write a description

Respond to messages and arrange pickup

When someone is interested, they'll send you a message through Messenger. Respond promptly and answer their questions. To arrange a meeting, agree on a day and time. If you're comfortable, you can meet at your home. Alternatively, meet in a public place — a coffee shop parking lot, a library, or the parking lot of a police station.

Get paid and complete the sale
