    How to Set Up SimpliSafe Home Security

    Unbox and plug in the base station

    The big cylinder is the base station. Put it somewhere central in your home — usually the living room or hallway — and plug it into a wall outlet.

    Download the SimpliSafe app

    Install the SimpliSafe app from the App Store or Play Store. Open it and create an account with your email and a strong password.

    Add the keypad and connect Wi-Fi

    Mount the keypad near your front door using the sticky tape on the back. In the app, tap Add Device and follow the prompts to connect the base station to your home Wi-Fi.

    Place door, window, and motion sensors

    Peel the tape off each sensor and stick them on door frames, window sills, and a wall corner for the motion detector. The app shows you exactly where each sensor goes.

    Activate monitoring

    In the app, tap the menu and pick "Professional Monitoring". Pick the Core or Pro plan, enter your payment info, and your system will be live within minutes. Test it by arming then walking in front of a motion sensor.
