How to Share Your Google Calendar With Family

Google Calendar lets you share your calendar with specific people so they can see your schedule — and you can see theirs — without having to text back and forth about who's available. This is great for couples coordinating appointments, parents and adult children staying in sync, or anyone who wants to keep their household on the same page.

When you share a calendar, you choose what level of access to give the other person: - **See only free/busy (hide details)** — They can see when you're busy but not what the event is - **See all event details** — They can see the full name, time, and description of each event - **Make changes to events** — They can add, edit, and delete your events (useful for assistants or spouses managing schedules together) - **Make changes and manage sharing** — Full control, same as yours

You can also create a separate calendar (like "Family Events") and share just that calendar rather than your personal one. This keeps your work or personal appointments private while sharing family activities.

Once someone accepts your share invitation, your calendar appears in their Google Calendar alongside their own. They see it in a different color so you can tell apart. Changes you make appear instantly on their end, and vice versa if they have edit permissions.

Sharing works between any two people with Google accounts. And they can view your calendar in a browser, on Android, on iPhone via the Google Calendar app, or even in Apple Calendar on Mac.
