How to Use the AARP Now App

Stay on top of member benefits, discounts, and news made for people 50 and over.

    1

    Install the app

    ~15s
Download AARP Now from the App Store or Play Store. If you are not a member yet, you can join right in the app for $16/year or at aarp.org.
    2

    ~15s
Open the app and tap "Sign in." Use the email and password from your AARP account, or the membership number printed on your AARP card.
    3

    Show your digital card

    ~15s
Tap "Membership" at the bottom. Your digital AARP card appears with your name and member number. Cashiers at restaurants and hotels can scan or type in this number — no need for the physical card.
    4

    Browse discounts

    ~15s
Tap "Benefits" to see categories like Travel, Restaurants, Insurance, Technology, and Groceries. Each listing shows the discount (like "10% off at Denny's") and how to claim it.
    5

    Read articles and event listings

    ~15s
The "News" tab has daily articles on health, money, and technology written in plain English. The "Events" tab lists free local events like tax help, scam seminars, and volunteer opportunities.
