    Pick Flights, Stays, or Cars. Type your cities and dates, then hit Search. Kayak takes 10 to 20 seconds to check every travel site.

    Use the filters on the left

    Set a maximum number of stops, preferred airlines, or a price cap. The "Cabin" filter lets you pick economy, premium, or business class.

    Read the price forecast

    Above the results, Kayak may show a message like "Prices are likely to rise" or "Wait — prices should drop." Use this to decide whether to book today or hold off a week.

    Click through to book

    Pick a flight and click "View Deal." Kayak sends you to the airline or agency to pay. Take a screenshot of the price first so you can compare once you arrive on the other site.
