Download the Wells Fargo Mobile app and sign in

    ~31s
Search "Wells Fargo Mobile" in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) and install the free app. Open the app and tap "Sign On." Enter your Wells Fargo username and password. If you have not set up online banking before, tap "Enroll Now" on the sign-in screen and follow the instructions to create your credentials using your Wells Fargo account number.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: If you forget your username or password, tap "Forgot username/password?" on the sign-in screen. Wells Fargo will verify your identity and help you reset your access.

    2

Set up fingerprint or Face ID login

    ~18s
After signing in, go to Menu > Settings > Sign-On Preferences. Enable "Quick Access" using fingerprint or Face ID for your device. This lets you sign in with a touch or glance instead of typing your password every time. You can also set up a 6-digit passcode as an alternative method.
    3

Check balances and review your transactions

    ~33s
The home screen displays all your Wells Fargo accounts and their current balances. Tap any account to open its transaction history. Scroll through recent transactions, or use the search icon to look for a specific date, amount, or merchant. Tap any transaction to see the full details. If you notice an unfamiliar charge, do not ignore it — contact Wells Fargo customer service if you believe it is incorrect or unauthorized.

    Warning

If you see a transaction you did not make, call the number on the back of your Wells Fargo debit or credit card immediately. Acting quickly limits your liability for unauthorized charges.

    4

    Mobile deposit a check

    ~21s
Tap "Deposit" in the bottom menu, then "Deposit Checks." Choose the account for the deposit. Sign the back of your check — write "For Mobile Deposit Only" below your signature as required. Follow the on-screen instructions to photograph the front and back of the check. Enter the check amount and review the details before submitting. Confirmation appears on-screen and is also emailed to you.
    5

    Transfer money and pay bills

    ~24s
Tap "Transfer & Pay" in the navigation menu. To move money between your own Wells Fargo accounts, select "Transfer Money," choose the accounts, enter the amount, and confirm. To pay a bill or an account at another bank, select "Pay Bills" and set up the payee by searching for their name. Enter your account number with that company, then schedule a payment. Payments to external accounts typically take one to three business days.

Wells Fargo is one of the four largest banks in the United States, and its Mobile app provides access to your checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, and loans all in one place on your phone. Like most major bank apps, it is free to download and does not cost anything extra to use for standard banking tasks.

With the Wells Fargo Mobile app, you can check your current balances and view your transaction history, transfer money between your Wells Fargo accounts or to accounts at other banks, deposit paper checks using your phone's camera, pay your credit card bill or set up payments to other companies, send or receive money through Zelle, set up alerts to notify you of low balances or unusual activity, and temporarily freeze your debit card if you cannot find it.

The Wells Fargo app is available for iPhone and Android. It uses fingerprint or Face ID for fast, secure sign-in, and the app encrypts your personal information to protect it during transmission. Wells Fargo also monitors accounts around the clock for suspicious activity and will alert you if something unusual occurs.

One useful feature of the Wells Fargo app is "Spend Wisely," a tool that categorizes your spending automatically — groceries, dining, utilities, and so on — so you can see where your money is going each month. This works automatically without any extra setup.

To use the app, you need a Wells Fargo account. If you bank with Wells Fargo but have not set up online access yet, you can enroll through the app using your account number and Social Security number.
