How to Make Text and Icons Bigger on Android

If the text on your Android phone feels too small to read comfortably, or the icons seem too close together to tap accurately, you can fix both problems in Settings. Android has two separate adjustments: Font Size and Display Size.
Font Size
controls how large the text appears throughout the phone — in menus, apps, and messages. Making this larger does not change the size of icons or buttons, only the letters and words.
Display Size
(also called Screen Size or Display Zoom on some phones) controls how large everything looks — including icons, buttons, images, and text together. Think of it like zooming in on the entire phone screen. Making the display size larger means everything gets bigger, but you'll see slightly less on screen at once.
Most people find it helpful to increase both Font Size and Display Size by one or two steps. The changes take effect right away and you can always go back and adjust again.
How to find these settings:
On most Android phones, go to Settings (the gear icon) > Display > Font Size and Display Size. On Samsung Galaxy phones, go to Settings > Display > Font Size and Style for font, and Settings > Display > Screen Zoom for display size. On Google Pixel phones, go to Settings > Display > Display Size and Text.
The exact path varies by brand and Android version. If you can't find it following the steps above, try going to Settings and typing "font" or "display size" in the search bar at the top of the Settings screen.
The accessibility shortcut for quickly adjusting text is also available under Settings > Accessibility > Text and Display Size on most Android phones.
A note about Bold Text:
Many people find that turning on Bold Text makes letters much easier to read even at a smaller font size. Look for this option in Settings > Accessibility > Text and Display. Bold text appears darker and thicker, which improves readability on bright screens.
For severe vision difficulty:
If the largest font size and display size still aren't enough, look into Settings > Accessibility > Magnification. This feature lets you zoom into any part of the screen by triple-tapping, which can be a helpful backup for fine print or small details on any screen.
