What Is Apple One and Is It Worth It?

Apple One bundles Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, and more into one monthly subscription. Here's what's included and how to decide if it saves you money.

    1

Understand what each Apple service does

    ~34s
Apple Music ($10.99/month alone): streaming music — 100 million songs, ad-free. Apple TV+ ($9.99/month alone): Apple's original shows and movies (Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, etc.). Apple Arcade ($6.99/month alone): over 200 games, no ads or in-app purchases. iCloud+ 50GB ($0.99/month): cloud storage for photos, backup, email. iCloud+ 200GB ($2.99/month). Apple Fitness+ ($9.99/month alone): guided workout videos. Apple News+ ($12.99/month alone): hundreds of magazines and news publications.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: Apple TV+ alone is $9.99/month and Apple One Individual is $19.95/month — for $10 more you get Apple Music and Arcade plus 50GB of iCloud storage. If you use streaming music, Apple One Individual almost always wins.

    2

Calculate whether Apple One saves you money

    ~24s
Add up what you currently pay for individual Apple services. For most people already paying for iCloud storage and one or two Apple services, Apple One is cheaper than paying separately. The Family plan is especially good value — for a family of 3-5 people sharing Apple Music and iCloud storage together, the Family plan costs less than one individual Apple Music subscription plus adequate iCloud storage for each person.
    3

    Subscribe to Apple One

    ~33s
On iPhone or iPad: go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → "Get Apple One." Alternatively, go to the App Store → tap your profile icon → "Apple One." Choose the Individual, Family, or Premier plan. Your existing Apple subscriptions are automatically bundled — you will not pay twice for services you already have; those subscriptions end at their current billing date and roll into Apple One.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: If you subscribe to Apple One Family, all family members in your Apple Family Sharing group get access immediately — they do not need to do anything extra to start using the services.

    4

Cancel services you are paying for separately

    ~21s
After subscribing to Apple One, check that your previous individual subscriptions were canceled to avoid double-billing. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions and confirm there are no active individual Apple service subscriptions (Apple Music, Apple TV+, etc.) still running. Apple should handle this automatically, but verify. Cancel any services that Apple One replaced but did not automatically end.

Apple One is a subscription bundle that combines multiple Apple services at a single discounted monthly price. Instead of subscribing to Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud storage, and other Apple services separately, Apple One bundles them together for less than you would pay individually.

There are three Apple One tiers: Individual ($19.95/month — Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+ 50GB), Family ($25.95/month — all Individual services + 200GB iCloud+ shared with up to 5 family members), and Premier ($37.95/month — all services + 2TB iCloud+ + Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+). Apple's pricing changes periodically — check apple.com/apple-one for current rates.
