    How to Customize the Taskbar on Windows

    Make the taskbar your own by rearranging, hiding, and configuring its features.

    Open Taskbar settings

    Right-click the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings" to access all customization options.

    Show or hide system icons

    Toggle which system tray icons are visible — clock, volume, network, etc.

    Change taskbar alignment

    Switch between center-aligned (default in Windows 11) or left-aligned taskbar icons.

    Auto-hide the taskbar

    Enable "Automatically hide the taskbar" to give yourself more screen space. Move your cursor to the bottom to reveal it.

    Pin and unpin items

    Right-click any running app → Pin to Taskbar. Right-click a pinned app → Unpin from Taskbar.
