How to Customize iPhone Control Center

Add buttons to Control Center for the tools you use most — the flashlight, calculator, magnifier, and more are all one swipe away when configured correctly.

    1

    Go to Control Center settings

    ~15s
Open SettingsControl Center. You will see two sections: "Included Controls" (what is currently in your Control Center) and "More Controls" (what you can add).
    2

Remove controls you do not use

    ~18s
In the "Included Controls" list, tap the red minus (–) button next to any control you want to remove. Confirm by tapping "Remove."

    Quick Tip

Common removals: AirDrop (if you never use it), Hearing Devices (if you do not have hearing aids), and the Sleep Timer (if you have never used it).

    3

    Add new controls

    ~15s
Scroll down to "More Controls" and tap the green plus (+) button next to any control you want to add. Useful additions: Magnifier, Screen Recording, Dark Mode, Low Power Mode, and Notes.
    4

    Rearrange the order

    ~15s
In "Included Controls," press and hold the three horizontal lines (≡) next to any item and drag it up or down to change its position in Control Center.
    5

    Test your new Control Center

    ~15s
Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center. Your added and rearranged controls should appear exactly as set. Tap the Magnifier to test it — it opens the camera with a zoom slider.

Control Center is the panel you open by swiping down from the top-right corner of your iPhone. It contains quick-access buttons for common settings like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, brightness, and the flashlight. You can customize which buttons appear there and arrange them however you like.

By default, Control Center includes buttons for Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, AirDrop, Personal Hotspot, Focus, rotation lock, screen mirroring, music player, display brightness, volume, flashlight, camera, calculator, and sleep timer.

You can add dozens more controls, including: - Magnifier (zoom in to read small text) - Accessibility Shortcuts - Screen Recording - Notes (create a quick note) - Wallet - Voice Memos - Hearing Devices - Dark Mode toggle - Low Power Mode toggle - Text Size - Code Scanner (QR code reader)

Removing controls you never use makes Control Center less cluttered and easier to navigate. For example, if you never use AirDrop or personal hotspot, removing them gives more space to controls you do use.

Some controls can be resized. Press and hold on a resizable control (like brightness or volume) to expand it for easier adjustment.
