    For the fastest transfer, connect both Macs with a USB-C or Thunderbolt cable instead of using Wi-Fi.

    Choose transfer method

    Transfer from another Mac (via Wi-Fi or cable), from a Time Machine backup, or from a Windows PC.

    Select what to transfer

    Choose: Applications, User Accounts, Documents & Data, and System & Network Settings.

    Warning

    If you transfer Applications, some may need to be re-authorised with their license keys. Have your software license keys ready.
