"Spelling Bee" (also from NY Times) — make as many words as you can from 7 letters. All three are addictive and great for keeping your mind sharp.

Jigsaw puzzles

Jigsaw Explorer (jigsawexplorer.com) offers thousands of free jigsaw puzzles in your browser — no download needed. Choose from 6 to 1,000+ pieces. You can also upload your own photos to turn into puzzles. On tablet, "Jigsaw Puzzles — Puzzle Game" (by Easybrain) is a beautiful free app with daily new puzzles and customizable piece counts.
