    1

    Download and create an account

    ~20s
Search "ParkMobile" in the App Store or Google Play and install the free app. Tap "Sign Up" and enter your email address. Create a password. Add your vehicle's license plate number under "Vehicles." Add a credit or debit card under "Payment Methods."

    Quick Tip

Save your most common vehicle and payment method so future parking sessions take just a few taps.

    2

    Find your zone number

    ~15s
When you park, look for a blue-and-white ParkMobile sign near your parking spot. It will show a zone number (usually 4–6 digits). This number is how the app knows where you are parked.
    3

    Start a parking session

    ~19s
Open ParkMobile. Tap "Start Parking." Enter the zone number from the sign. Select your vehicle. Choose how much time you need (you can buy time in 15-minute or 1-hour increments depending on the zone). Tap "Start Parking." Your session begins immediately.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: Tap the microphone icon and say the zone number instead of typing it.

    4

    Extend your time remotely

    ~15s
If you are still inside a restaurant, store, or appointment when your time is running low, open ParkMobile → tap your active session → "Extend." Add more time and tap "Extend Parking." You never have to run back to your car.
    5

    Set up expiration reminders

    ~15s
Go to the app SettingsNotifications → turn on "Expiration Reminder." You can set how many minutes before expiration you want to be notified (5, 10, or 15 minutes). ParkMobile will send you a notification with a button to extend right from the alert.

ParkMobile is a free app that lets you pay for street parking and parking garages using your phone instead of a parking meter or payment kiosk. It is accepted at thousands of locations across the US, including cities like Washington DC, Atlanta, Chicago, and hundreds of others.

When you arrive at a ParkMobile zone, you enter the zone number posted on the parking sign, select how long you need, and pay from the app. If you need more time while you are away from your car, you can extend your parking right from your phone — no running back to the meter.

The app also sends you a reminder when your parking time is about to expire, giving you a chance to extend before getting a ticket.

ParkMobile charges your credit or debit card automatically. There is no need to carry exact change or find a working meter. The app keeps a history of your parking sessions for expense tracking.

ParkMobile is free to download. You pay your normal parking rate plus a small convenience fee (usually $0.35–$0.45 per transaction). Some cities absorb the fee; others pass it to the driver.

The app works on iPhone and Android. You can also pay at parkmobile.io on a computer.
