    Tips for Using Samsung Internet Browser on Android

    Samsung Internet comes pre-installed on Galaxy phones and has useful features like Secret Mode, ad blocking, and easy password management.

    1. Step 1. Find Samsung Internet on your Galaxy phone

      Samsung Internet is usually in your app drawer (the list of all apps). Look for the circular blue icon with an "S" shape that looks like a globe. If you don't have it, open the Galaxy Store app and search "Samsung Internet" to install it for free.

    2. Step 2. Turn on Secret Mode

      Open Samsung Internet. Tap the square tabs icon at the bottom right (the one that shows how many tabs you have open). Look for a toggle or icon labeled "Secret Mode" and tap it. Your browser switches to a dark-themed, private mode where nothing is tracked or saved. Tap the tabs icon again and choose "Secret Mode off" to return to normal browsing.

      Quick Tip

      To require fingerprint authentication to enter Secret Mode, go to the three-line menu > Settings > Privacy and Security > Secret Mode Security, and set it up there.

    3. Step 3. Enable an ad blocker

      Tap the three-line menu icon at the bottom right of Samsung Internet. Go to Settings > Content blockers. Tap "Galaxy Store" to see available content blocking extensions. Download one (like AdGuard or Adblock Plus — both free) and activate it. Samsung Internet will now block most ads automatically.

    4. Step 4. Use Reader Mode for articles

      When reading a news article or blog post, look for a small book-page icon on the right side of the address bar. Tap it to switch to Reader Mode. The page strips out ads and clutter, leaving you with clean text in a comfortable reading layout. Tap the "A" icon to adjust font size and background color.

    5. Step 5. Manage your saved pages and passwords

      Tap the three-line menu > Bookmarks to see all your saved pages. Tap Downloads to see files you've saved from websites. To manage saved passwords, go to the three-line menu > Settings > Autofill and tap "Samsung Pass" or "Passwords" to view and manage stored logins.
