Todoist is one of the most popular to-do list apps in the world, and it is clear why. It is clean, fast, and available on every device — iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, and in any web browser. You can use it to track daily chores, grocery lists, medical appointments, home maintenance tasks, and anything else you need to remember.
The app centers on a simple idea: everything you need to do goes into Todoist. And you check things off as you complete them. Tasks can have due dates, reminders, priority levels, and notes attached to them. You can organize tasks into projects — like "Grocery List," "Health," or "Home Repairs" — and switch between them easily.
One of Todoist's most useful features is natural language input. You can type things like "Call the dentist tomorrow at 2pm" and Todoist automatically creates a task with a due date and time set correctly. You do not have to navigate through date pickers and menus.
The free version of Todoist covers everything most people need: unlimited tasks, up to five projects, reminders, and syncing across devices. The paid version (called Todoist Pro) adds more projects, reminders, labels, and productivity tracking — but it is not necessary to get significant value from the app.
Todoist also works with voice assistants. You can ask Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa to add a task to Todoist, which is especially handy when your hands are busy.
For people who feel overwhelmed by scattered sticky notes, forgotten mental lists, or missed appointments, Todoist provides a reliable central place to capture and track everything you need to do.
