How to Use Accessibility Features on Windows

Windows includes powerful tools for vision, hearing, and motor accessibility.

    1

    Open Accessibility settings

    ~15s
Go to SettingsAccessibility to see all available features.
    2

    Use Magnifier

    ~15s
Press ⊞ Win+Plus to zoom in on any part of the screen. ⊞ Win+Minus to zoom out. ⊞ Win+Esc to exit.
    3

    Enable Narrator

    ~15s
Turn on Narrator for a screen reader that reads text aloud as you navigate.
    4

    Adjust text size and contrast

    ~15s
Increase text size, enable high contrast themes, or use color filters for color blindness.

    Quick Tip

High contrast mode makes text much easier to read for people with low vision. Try it in Settings, then Accessibility, then Contrast themes.

    5

    Use voice typing

    ~16s
Press ⊞ Win+H to start voice typing — dictate text instead of typing.

    Warning

Voice typing works best in a quiet room. Background noise can cause incorrect words to appear.
