Download the Amazon app

Search for "Amazon Shopping" in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android). Download it for free and open it.

Sign in or create an account

If you already have an Amazon account, sign in with your email and password. If not, tap "Create a new Amazon account" and follow the steps.

Search for what you need

Tap the search bar at the top and type what you are looking for — like "phone charger" or "reading glasses." You can also tap the camera icon to take a photo of something and find it on Amazon.

Use the camera search feature to take a picture of any product and Amazon will find similar items for you.

Read reviews before you buy

Scroll down on any product page to read reviews from other customers. Look at the star rating (4 stars or higher is usually good) and read a few reviews to make sure the product is what you expect.

Add to cart and check out

Tap "Add to Cart" to save items you want to buy. When you are ready, tap the cart icon, review your items, and tap "Proceed to Checkout." Choose your shipping address and payment method, then place your order.

Track your package

After ordering, go to "Your Orders" in the app to see when your package will arrive. Amazon sends you notifications when it ships and when it is delivered.
