How to Use the Fi GPS Dog Collar

Order the right size

Go to tryfi.com and measure your dog's neck with a soft tape measure. Pick the size that fits with two fingers of room between the collar and the dog's neck.

Charge and activate

Charge the Fi collar overnight with the included dock. Download the Fi app from the App Store or Play Store, create an account, and scan the QR code on the collar to activate it.

Set up your home base

In the app, tap "Set up Home." This tells Fi where your house is. Fi uses Wi-Fi to know when your dog is safely home, which saves battery instead of using GPS.

Put it on and test it

Attach the Fi module to any standard collar with the included slot, or use the Fi Series 3 Collar itself. Walk outside the house — the app should show your dog marked as "Away from Home" within 2 minutes.

Turn on escape alerts

In Settings, turn on "Lost Dog Mode" alerts. If your dog leaves the home area without you, Fi sends a push notification. You can then open the app to see a live map of where your dog is heading.
