How to Use Microsoft Edge Browser

Get started with Microsoft Edge — Windows' built-in web browser for browsing the internet.

Open Microsoft Edge

Click the Edge icon on the taskbar (blue wave icon) or search for "Edge" in the Start menu.

Navigate to a website

Click the address bar at the top, type a URL (like google.com) or a search term, and press Enter.

Use tabs

Click the + button next to your current tab to open a new tab. Click X on a tab to close it. Use Ctrl+T for a new tab.

Bookmark a page

Click the star icon in the address bar to bookmark (save) a page for quick access later.

Manage downloads

Press Ctrl+J to see your downloads. By default, files save to your Downloads folder.
