    How to Use Multiple Desktops (Spaces) on Mac

    Create separate workspaces to organize your apps and boost productivity.

    Open Mission Control

    Swipe up with three or four fingers on the trackpad, or press Ctrl+Up Arrow.

    Add a new desktop

    Click the + button in the top-right corner of Mission Control to create a new desktop Space.

    Switch between desktops

    Swipe left or right with three fingers on the trackpad, or press Ctrl+Left/Right arrows.

    Move windows between desktops

    In Mission Control, drag a window to another desktop at the top of the screen.

    Close a desktop

    ~15s
    In Mission Control, hover over a desktop thumbnail and click the X to close it.
