How to Use Task Manager on Windows

Open Task Manager

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, or right-click the taskbar → Task Manager.

View running processes

The Processes tab shows all running apps and background processes with their CPU, memory, and disk usage.

End a frozen program

Select a non-responding program and click "End Task" to force-close it.

Monitor performance

Click the Performance tab to see real-time CPU, memory, disk, network, and GPU usage graphs.

Check startup impact

The Startup Apps tab shows which programs launch at boot and their performance impact.
