How to Cast Your Phone Screen to Your TV

Show photos, videos, and apps from your phone on your big TV screen.

Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi

Your phone and your TV (or streaming device) must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If they are on different networks, casting will not work.

Warning

If casting is not working, double-check that both your phone and TV are on the exact same Wi-Fi network.

For iPhone users (AirPlay)

Open the Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner of your iPhone screen. Tap "Screen Mirroring" and select your TV from the list. Your phone screen will appear on the TV.

For Android users (Cast)

Swipe down from the top of your screen to open Quick Settings. Look for a button called "Cast," "Smart View," or "Screen Mirror." Tap it and select your TV from the list.

Cast from a specific app

You can also cast from inside apps like YouTube, Netflix, or Photos. Look for the Cast icon — it looks like a little TV screen with Wi-Fi waves in the corner. Tap it and choose your TV.

Casting from inside an app (like YouTube) often works better than mirroring your whole screen.
