How to Use Voice Search on Your Smart TV Remote

Use your voice to search for shows, movies, and apps without typing.

Find the microphone button

Look for a microphone button on your smart TV remote. It usually has a small microphone icon on it. Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and most smart TV remotes have one.

Press and hold the button

Press and hold the microphone button. While holding it, say what you want to search for in a clear, normal voice. For example, say "Comedy movies" or "The news."

Wait for results

Release the button when you are done speaking. The TV will show search results based on what you said. Select the one you want to watch.
