Epic! is a digital reading platform designed for children ages 12 and under. It gives children unlimited access to more than 40,000 books, audiobooks, learning videos, and quizzes across every interest and reading level. Titles include popular series like Dog Man, Captain Underpants, National Geographic Kids, and many more. The library also includes Spanish-language books, which makes it useful for bilingual families.
For parents, Epic! offers a clear reading tracker that shows which books a child has read, how much time they spent reading, and what reading level they are working at. Teachers also use Epic! widely in classrooms, and many schools provide free access codes that give children access to the full library at no cost to families.
For families without a school code, Epic! offers a free reading mode with a limited selection of books, or a paid subscription for $9.99 per month that unlocks the full library. The subscription covers up to four child profiles under one account.
The app is available on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire tablets, and through web browsers on computers. Children can read independently or follow along with audiobooks that highlight words as they are spoken — a feature that supports early readers and children who are learning English.
