    How to Make Your Phone Battery Last All Day

    Simple settings changes that can double your battery life.

    Turn down screen brightness

    Your screen is the biggest battery drain. Swipe down from the top of your screen (Android) or swipe down from the top-right corner (iPhone) to open the control panel. Drag the brightness slider to about 40-50%. Enable "Auto-Brightness" so your phone adjusts automatically based on lighting.

    Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth when not needed

    When you leave your house, turn off WiFi so your phone stops searching for networks. If you are not using wireless headphones or a smartwatch, turn off Bluetooth too. Both drain battery in the background.

    Close background apps

    Apps running in the background use battery even when you are not looking at them. On iPhone: swipe up from the bottom and swipe away apps. On Android: tap the square button and swipe apps away. You do not need to close every app, just the ones you are done with.

    Enable Low Power Mode

    When your battery drops below 20%, turn on Low Power Mode. iPhone: Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode. Android: Settings > Battery > Battery Saver. This reduces background activity, mail fetch, and visual effects to stretch your remaining battery.

    Check which apps drain the most battery

    iPhone: Settings > Battery shows which apps used the most battery in the last 24 hours or 10 days. Android: Settings > Battery > Battery Usage. If an app you rarely use is near the top, consider uninstalling it or restricting its background activity.
